Rotating Artist Program

You still have time to join the Rotating Artist Program.  The fee for 2010 is $15, due by Friday, December 18, 2009.  Checks should be made out to the Delhi Art Group and sent to Ann Law at 1146 State Highway 357, Franklin, New York 13775.  If you have any questions about the program, please call Jeanette Koji, our coordinator, at 746-3399. Paintings in the Rotating Artist Program are hung for three months at a time at various, high-visibility locations in the surrounding area.  Many of  the artist sell through this program.  It is a really terrific opportunity for our members.  Don't hold back from joining because you only have a few paintings.  There are several spots which will take a small exhibit and others that can be shared with another artist.  And...another benefit of belonging to this program is having your work highlighted on our web page in the Rotating Artists section.

Scheduling of exhibits for the New Year will begin soon, so don't delay.  We have a broad audience out there, always appreciative of new work.  Give it a try!

*A note to current members of the Rotating Artist Program:  Please do not remove your artwork early.  If something comes up and you need to pull your paintings, you must call Jeanette Koji at 746-3399.

We are excited to announce that several workshops are being planned for 2010.  If you've ever wanted to try a collage, you not want to miss the Collage Workshop to be given by Kay Parisi-Hampel.  Have you ever thought about trying a new medium?  Karen Elkin will give us a Pastel Workshop.  Ann Law will show us how to attractively mat our artwork in a Mat Cutting Workshop.  Dates have not been set yet, but most likely will be held on a Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 565 Andes Road, Delhi, New York in warmer weather.  Watch for future newsletters to supply information.

Congratulations to our President, Susan Priest, on winning the Landscape Award in the Cider Painters of America, International Miniatures Show in Pennsylvania!

And as we come to the end of another year, we thank everyone who helped us in their unique way to keep the club going.  Warmest wishes for a colorful, painterly New Year!
