June 14-15, 2008  Meredith Dairy Fest - Marie Cummings, Dianne Robillard, Quinn Kelly Harris and Susan Priest (all DAG members along with several others, donated their time to paint wooden cows for auction to raise money for the Meredith Volunteer Fire Department there.  Come visit and view the cows, even make a bid.  Next year, it would be great if other of our members would participate.  The acrylic paints and gel were donated to each artist by Golden Paints.  Susan Priest will be doing an acrylic painting demonstration using Golden paints on that Saturday.

Delhi Fair on the Square--The four Fridays in July this year are 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.  If you wish to share space with other group members, the cost is $5 per night.  Let Susan Priest know no later than June 20th (607-746-3220).  You must also send your money to Ann Law, 11646 State Highway 357, Franklin, New York 13775, with a note indicating which nights you are showing.  You can also get a space of your own for $20 per night, call Doris Tyrell at (607-746-2561) for more information.

Delaware County Fair--Kathy Moore is always looking for volunteers for the Fair Art Committee.  If interested, please call Kathy at (607-865-4734).  Ask her how you can enter your work in the art show.

Old Franklin Day--We would like to return to showing as a group for this Saturday event.  This year it is on August 23rd.  If you are interested, please call Ann Law at (607-829-8787).

Workshop--Art and the Web--The date has been changed to Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 10 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.  It will be in the basement of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Delhi, New York (across from O'Connor Hospital).  The fee will be $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Delhi Harvest Festival--This festival is always in conjunction with Family Weekend at SUNY, Delhi.  Sales last year were good for our members who attended.  We always get a double space, located in front of the County Building, across from the Delhi Village Green, so we are not in the grass.  An excellent location!  The price should be around $10 to participate with fellow DAG members.  We'll know for sure at the end of the summer and include the information in the next newsletter.

Annual Meeting--Set aside Thursday, October 2nd at Noon, when the DAG Annual Meeting will be held at the Bee Hive Restaurant, Franklin, New York.  Reservations will be needed.  Final information will be in the next newsletter.

Delhi Chicken BBQ--Friday, October 17th from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.  We need volunteers for 1 hour shifts.  This is our one fundraiser.  Please show you support.  Whether you are free to volunteer that day or not, please stop by to buy your chicken!  Call Susan Priest at (607-746-3220) to volunteer.

Group Theme Show--"Alone"--This will be an exciting show where our members will exhibit their interpretation of the theme in their unique style.  The show will be held at Fox Care, Oneonta, New York, in December.  Everyone is invited to participate.  Start painting!

The Board has started buying professional hanging frames for displaying art at group events.  This means that we would like to give away the old a-frames to anyone willing to pick them up.  For information, call Susan Priest at (607-746-3220).
