We would like to thank Susan Priest for agreeing to continue as DAG  President.   Please remember that an organization is only as good as its members.  We currently have the following positions that need to be filled:  Outdoor Show Coordinator, Art and Soul Festival Coordinator,  Workshop Coordinator and Grant Writer.  We also need members to volunteer for one hour shifts to work on our October 17, 2008 BBQ fundraiser.  Look at what is planned for this year and seriously consider NOW what you can be involved in.  Where could your special talents be best used?  Call Susan Priest at (607) 746-3220 and volunteer today!

Theme Show

Do you remember that in our last newsletter, we announced an Art Challenge for 2008?  It is a theme show, entitled "ALONE," which is open to all DAG members.  All finished artwork will be hung in a group show in December in the Fox Care Center, Route 7, Oneonta, New York.  You have all spring, summer and fall to work on your entry, in whatever medium you enjoy.  Looking forward to seeing everyone's "take" on the theme!

E-Mail Newsletters

If you are willing to receive your newsletter by e-mail, please contact our secretary, Kathy Moore, at 607-865-4734 and you will be helping us by saving postal fees.  Thank you to all the DAG members that have already contacted Kathy, it is greatly appreciated.

Web Page

A DAG member has offered to assist us in setting up a web page.  The board is very excited about it and has voted to proceed.  Along with information about our group, there will be highlights from the newsletter and information about the Rotating Artist Program.  Those who participate in the aforementioned program will also be highlighted on this page.  There will be a workshop held later this year to help you get started with this great new adventure!

Children's Art Program

Members of the Children's Art Program are exhibiting their work at the Delhi Village Hall on Court Street in Delhi, New York.  The students did a great job and they hope everyone stops by to see it.  They are: Elizabeth and Peter Niebanck, Quinn Kelly, Kassie and Krysie Moore, Chiara Salati, Jacob & Shealinn Stephens and Lyncoln Mendes.
